4th Grade Skit

Pumpkin Pinata

The fourth graders made a pumpkin pinata for everyone in the school to smash. Each child had a turn, but it wasn't until the fourth graders took their wacks that it finally released its contents.

Here are some photos from this morning's chapel. We needed to grab some extra chairs for all our guests.
Thank you to the K-2nd graders for the music. (A little brother of one of our students stood and sung with his sister.)

Windy Day for Raking Leaves

The students, staff, and a parent spent p.e. time today raking leaves for a friend of MVCA who is battling cancer. The job was a breeze with 14 eager bodies pitching in. All the leaves fit into one pickup although considerable smashing took place by the fourth graders. Thank you to the parents for providing the rakes and a blower!! For Our Pastors and Sunday School Teachers

The kindergarten, first grade, and second grade students made cookies on Friday for their pastors and Sunday school teachers. Chocolate chip, peanut butter, and sugar cookies were the goodies mixed, baked, and decoratively arranged on plates for our church leaders. Thank you to the parents for providing the ingredients. Thank you to Mrs. Brandt for her baking expertise and providing the decorative plates and ribbon.

Crumbled Cookies

OOps! Not all the cookies made it to the counter to cool.

Special Guest Speaker

The fourth graders had a special guest speaker in their room on Monday. Jen Madrid, a college volleyball coach and semi-pro player, visited MVCA to share information about her home country, Panama. She talked about the climate and culture of this Central American country. Miss Madrid is a family friend of Mr. Leonard.

Practice Begins

The snowy weather outside was well suited for our schedule because we had our FIRST practice for our Christmas musical, Christmas Around the World. Miss Aven Tirrel will be our director again this year. Mark your calendars for Tuesday, December 8th at 7pm.

Sweet Hour of Prayer

We are very blessed this school year to be able to provide the students with more music classes. Not only do we have Jeremy and Kristen coming on Wednesdays twice a month, but we also have Mrs. Susan Lippert attending to the students on two Fridays per month. This morning they learned the words and melody to Sweet Hour of Prayer and some history regarding this song.
