Last Day Before Easter Break

The 7th graders shared some Indian food with the 5th graders on Wednesday.  The  7th graders just finished a unit in geography class on India.

The 1st and 2nd graders were busy on the laptops and I pads on Wednesday keyboarding their creative stories.  Hard workin' group!

The 3rd and 4th graders are learning about states of matter and chemical vs. physical change.  They made Kool-Aid play dough in science class.

Reading Response to the Easter Story

After hearing the story The Very First Easter by Paul L. Maier, this student used her free-choice center time to make a "child sized cross" out of paper.  Just before the picture was taken, she was gluing a strip of paper across her feet to secure herself to the cross.

One of the blessing of teaching at a school that focuses on Christ.

Prayer Bracelets

A student came to school wearing a prayer bracelet to remind him to pray for some of his church members that went to Belize this week to help share the love of Christ.  The rest of the class loved the idea so they were supplied with their own bracelets.  One of the team members is a MVCA board member, Larry Leet.
