Hopping by the K-1 Classroom

Two “visitors” hopped into Mrs. Frederick’s classroom this past week. The students in this picture are watching the toads munch on crickets! We will do our best to fatten them up before we release them back into the world.

Flag Etiquette Presentation

Don & Marlys List from the American Legion and Auxiliary were at MVCA this morning to give a lesson on flag etiquette. We now know how to properly put up, take down, and store our American flag. A huge THANK YOU to the Lists for a very informative presentation!

Raising The Flag At MVCA

First day activities included a flag raising ceremony this morning. A student and Mr. Leonard are using some muscle to get it flying high. On Thursday (8/27), members of the American Legion and Auxiliary will visit our students and talk about flag etiquette.

First Day of School

Missouri Valley Christian Academy began the 2009-10 school year this morning. The doors were opened and fourteen bright, smiling faces entered through the doors. We are blessed to have three staff members ready to partner with parents to guide these children through the next nine months.

A Flag for MVCA

We are very excited and looking forward to having Old Glory flying high over our school this year. Mike Waid and Russell Leonard are busy mixing the cement for the base that will anchor the pole. The flag and pole are a memorial to the grandmother and great-grandmother of a MVCA family.
