3rd Grade Demonstration Speeches

The third grade students finished the school year with their demonstration speeches. Topics included football throwing, trail mix making, cat drawing, and flower sketching. Each one was well done!! Thank you to the kindergarten/first grade class for being a great audience!

Pancakes Anyone?

Mr. Leonard served up a batch of pancakes for breakfast for the students and their parents on the last day of school. Everyone experienced the delicious flavor of REAL maple syrup...YUM!!

Ready for Summer

With summer just around the corner, we took some extra time to conduct a Bike Safety Day. Officer Dean Larson taught us the rules of the road while Matt and Emily from ACE Hardware inspected student bikes. Matt is can be seen above making a minor adjustment to one of the bikes. The students also practiced their bike handling skills by maneuvering through an obstacle course and performed a brake check for the instructors.

P.E. Party!

Our P.E. teacher, Bill Conkling, and his substitute, Sherry Conkling, gave the students a special treat for their last day with us. The students played some of their favorite games and then sat down for some treats. The Conklings have blessed MVCA with their love for children and expertise in physical education. We extend a big THANK YOU for their faithful service each week!
